| - I've been to the plaza at least a dozen times for groceries, and now am quite saddened by the face that I haven't discovered this little cookie shop a little sooner.
I got their day-old cookies (because from a baker's standpoint that extra day means better flavour and more chewiness, and also because I wasn't too impressed with the price price of the freshly baked cookies).
I got half a pound, equivalent of 9 cookies, which came to $6.32. Which was a little pricey for the size of the cookies.
Here are the flavors that I got: oatmeal chocolate, caramelt, mocha, ebony and ivory, dark chocolate chunk, milk chocolate chunk, vanilla white chocolate, and very berry (some of them I doubled up on).
Of all of them, my favorite was the caramelt, which was studded with chunks of milk chocolate and smooth molten caramel much like dulce de leche. The cookie itself had a soft, medium crumb that was very moist and had the distinctive chew of an all-butter and brown sugar. An extra hit of salt also helped balanc the sweetness. My only complaint was that it didn't have enough thickness for your teeth to sink into, which is too bad because of how lovely the texture was.
Overall, the cookies are great, and good for a self-treat or between a couple of friends. I wouldn't, for example, get a wrapped tin of them for an office gathering thoug, a cake from Ruelo's (also along Hwy7) might serve that purpose better.
