  • My roommate and I rented a gorgeous house from RPM or Real Property Management East Valley in late September. We moved in the house's smoke detector's batteries, and a majority of the house's light bulb's were dead and the toilet in the downstairs bathroom did not flush, it clogged constantly. Dead bulbs are fine but they had told us the batteries had just been changed. Two weeks after we reported it, a plumber came out and snaked the toilet. He said it was working but unfortunately it was not. It took another two months worth of emails and work orders before the plumber came out again and snaked out an s hook that a previous tenant flushed. In January they charged us for that plumber's visit. They blamed the s hook on us even though we had been in constant communication with them. We thought the issue was resolved. In February we found out it wasn't. For the last three weeks I have been trying to communicate with the office. They have been taking a week to return an email or a call even when they have told me when they would call, when they chose the day and time. They have offered to only make us pay half of the plumber's bill and we have given up on fair treatment. They are very pleasant people if you can get in touch with them. Just be willing to not get timely responses or sincerity.
