  • I'm torn. The sushi was really good and for AYCE, that's pretty impressive. You don't expect good quality for AYCE. However, the service and largely the hostess service was HORRIFIC and we were NOT the only ones saying so (based on other reviews here and hearing other customers who were waiting at the same time as us). There was a queue to give our name for a table and the hostess was running around answering the phone and doing everything BUT take our names. We easily waited 5-10 min just to put our name down (and there was only 1 party ahead of us). They also had a few empty tables that easily sat empty for a good 20-30 minutes before parties were sat at them. Part of this is they allow parties to be seated even if the rest of their party is not there. For a place that is so busy, they should not allow this. I appreciate that they take your phone number down and will call you when a table is ready. When I've seen this at other restaurants, they usually call when a table is paying so it allows you 10 minutes to get back. It does not make sense to call after the table is cleaned and setup because then it sits empty. Furthermore, they should not allow tables to be sat if the whole party is not there - this avoids idle time where people are not eating and the restaurant is not making money. I saw many parties actually leave and not bother waiting as they were as frustrated as us. IN the end, we did wait and the food was great and came fast! Still unsure if we would come back.
