St-Henri is seriously a hot spot for sweets. Thanks to the many good places like Patrice Patissier, Leche, Rustique and now Mamie Clafoutis I feel my pants get a little tighter every time I enter that part of Montreal. Mamie Clafoutis has long been on my list of places to try but since I rarely find myself by their St-Denis location I had yet to give it a go. Imagine my delight when I found out they had one next to the Atwater Market.
It was late afternoon so I thought best to only get a snack. They do have a variety of sandwiches and salads though so I will definitely be trying them out for lunch in the future. Anyways a chocolatine and small latte came to only slightly more than $5 which wasn't too bad at all and the quality was topnotch. The chocolatine was crispy on the outside but buttery and flaky on the inside and it had just the right amount of chocolate in it. The latte was also pretty good and puts Starbucks to shame. Needless to say there will be more trips back here to test out their other products.
