I give 4 stars because the food here is very good and authentic! This place looses a star because the service can do with a little bit of help.
It is not on the menu and there are only certain days that they have the bot chien voi truong, which is fried rice flour cakes with eggs. It is so delicious. Honestly it is the best one in town. I am always disappointed when they don't have it.
The bun rieu is amazing! It's the best restaurant bun rieu I have ever had in my life. The best one is home nade, of course. But wow. The bun rieu really blew my mind. Bun rieu is my favorite food in the entire world. It is a tomato based soup with little puffs that are similar to small dumplings made of crab and shrimp, and it usually comes with some pork, tomato wedges, and shrimp. I love how generous that they are with their portions of the dumplings and noodles. I love the broth. It is so good. I definitely reccommend this dish!
I have also tried the bun thit nuong cha gio, the vermecelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls. DELICIOUS! The best egg rolls I have ever had. They taste jusy like how my parents make them. I love the food here!
The only downside is that the servers will take your order and bring your food then leave you alone. They won't double check to see if water refills are needed. And when I need something I always have to walk up to the counter to ask in order to get their attention. But the food is great!!!
