Awful experience. Arrived at the salon 15 minutes before my appointment to decompress from a busy morning. I sat down in the very elegant looking waiting area next to two women and quickly realized it was the manger and a very unhappy customer. The conversation went on for over ten minutes, as I awkwardly sipped my lemon water. I thought this was poor form on Rolf's management, regardless of what the issue was. I went back for my color, skip to the part where I needed my freshly colored hair dried. It turns out not all stylist dry hair. I was shuffled to a "haircut specialist" for a blow dry. The young man proceeded to comb my sopping wet hair from roots to ends with the finest tooth comb I've ever seen. My hair was being ripped out left and right. He asked when last haircut was, I said 6-8 weeks and he was aghast. The girl that did my color came over as he held a handful of my hair in his palm. I told her that's never happened. He talked me into a haircut and said minimum 1.5 inches needed to be cut now and he recommends ever 5 weeks if I want to grow my hair out. This is ludicrous. Hair grows max of 1/2 in ever 4 weeks. It would be physically impossible to grow hair at all if I followed his schedule. He burned me with the metal brush 3 times and all along told me how he's a "cutting specialist",who, as it turns out, has only been cutting hair for less than one year. He tried to sell me 4 different products plus a keratin treatment while mentioning 5 times how great my color looked. He kept telling my main problem was that my hair was frizzy, when that has never been a worry. He was very annoying in that he was trying to give me lesson on simple blow drying techniques. I am a well coiffed women in my mid-30's and feel his lessons were meant for a teen first wielding a hair dryer. I will also mention the salon was completely dead on a Friday afternoon. during my haircut a janitor kept sweeping with a 3 foot long mop and kept bumping my chair. i mentioned this that this seemed odd to the guy cutting my hair and he said "she always does that", i suggested she wait until after I was finished. I went in for a simple color and left disgusted all because of this amateur.
