| - One of the moving men, the owner's brother, was rude to me.
The movers did not listen to instructions. They give you a limit of 30 boxes for a 1 bedroom. After that, each box is $3. So we packed the boxes we wanted them to take and put them in the hallway. I explained to them that I wanted only the boxes in the hallway taken. They started taking boxes inside the house. After having my husband go and tell the man taking the boxes to bring them back (since he didn't listen to my telling him not to pick up those boxes), the main mover guy (the owner's brother) came over to me and said, "So am I just supposed to come and ask you for every little thing?" Umm..yes. I'm the one paying you. After I explained to him, again, that only the boxes in the hallway get moved, he said, "And did you tell me this?" Why yes, I did, but you were too busy ignoring everything I said that you must have missed it.
Also, the same man who ignored my instructions of only take the boxes in the hallway decided to "fix" my furniture. The movers told us that the legs of some of our dressers were loose. We knew this already because they had been broken in the last move. Everything was fine and stable once the dresser was placed down, so we weren't worried about it. When they moved our furniture into the new house, the idiot mover decided to take the legs off of my dresser and bureau and move them to other spots on the dresser, making the entire thing completely unstable. He did not ask me or my husband before doing this, he just did. The following day, my father flew out to California to help us move the rest of our stuff, and it took us an hour to un-do his handywork. While doing all of this, he kept trying to get us to hire him to use his truck (after his normal work hours of course) to move the rest of our stuff. He also mentioned several times that he was new to the company, "I've only been working here 15 days". Well if anyone from the company reads this, I suggest you fire that man!
