I can say after living at several addresses where this company was the only option for internet service, they are horrible. The internet was always slower than the rate you're billed for. Randomly your rate will get increased. Want to talk to the customer service? You'll wait forever and they will not help, often when they have resolved an issue, that issue magically is unresolved on the next billing cycle.
I feel that we should be billing these fools for the amount of time that that is spent wasting on customer service calls. The worst service, the worst customer service. Centurylink sucks hard!
