I have never been in this side of the Vegas Strip; even since this hotel was the former Imperial Palace. Checking in with was a little confusing at first, as you have to drive on the backside of Las Vegas Blvd to Koval Ln to get to the lobby entrance. The rooms seems to be renovated to suit contemporary times. Room numbers are oddly placed where you cannot see the number of every other room. It pretty confusing at first especially they because they tacked the tower number prefix before the room number. I always think Treasure Island has the best 'value' rooms (if there is such a thing) in the strip and staying at the Linq definitely confirms it.
As expected, the room still looks dated. But at least it bed and bathroom are clean. We had a little view form our window; I believe it was the pool of Harrah's casino. The Linq does not have a large casino floor, but it is airy and feels spacious. What I particularly like about the Linq is its Promenade. It was Halloween weekend when when we stayed here and there were many things happening at the Promenade. It was packed with people and there were live music to celebrate Halloween. And the Promenade is lined with restaurants and shops all the way to the Wheel. We stopped by and eat some 'chips at Gordon Ramsey's and it was pretty good. Overall, I'd say the Linq's Promenade offset its pretty mediocre rooms accommodations.
