| - I am very disappointed I contacted Neighborhood Garage Door Service. They had an advertisement in the Valpak mailer that displayed a positive yelp review and informed about best value, best guarantee and best trained. The advertisement provided information about same day service, lifetime warranties, fast & friendly service and emergency service. I have not had a good experience with this company. Adrian was the technician that originally came out to work on my garage door repair. He did not have the right parts to do the repair. He did not give me the impression that he was knowledgeable about how to complete the job the correct way. He broke one of my door springs and had to replace it. The repair did not seem that it was done correctly. Adrian put shorter screws in the garage door jam that was holding the garage door bracket in place. The short and slim screws he used caused the garage door frame to crack and pull out of the door jam.
I called the phone line to find out about scheduling another appointment to have the issue fixed properly. Geneva answered the call and scheduled an appointment with Adrian between 10:00am-1:00pm for the following day. I waited for the tech to show up on the scheduled date. After a couple hours passed, I decided to call into the office to find out about when the technician would arrive. I was transferred to a number of people answering the phone each time I called. Vanessa, Mike, Lance, Victoria, Jean, Shaquel, Jack, Chris, Alex, Geneva, Jeremy and the voice mail for Sarah. Mike told me that my job was a low priority. Additionally, I was transferred several times to dispatch where I was placed on hold for prolonged periods of time and transferred again and again. I felt like they passed me along like a hot potato.
Equally important, I was told that Adrian had a family emergency and he would not be able to show up to the appointment. I was told that Daniel would be coming after he finished a different job in another city. I was told the appointment time would change to be set before 1:30pm. Daniel did not show up. I called again to the office and was told Daniel would be out to me by 2:30pm. Daniel did not show up. I called again to the office and was told he would be out by 3:30pm. Daniel did not show up. I was about to call again when Daniel arrived a few minutes before 4:00pm.
Daniel had a very unprofessional attitude from the moment he arrived. He did not explain what he would be doing to repair the door. He seemed angry and annoyed. Plus, he was not a good communicator. Additionally, he was leaning on my garage door as if he wanted to see if he could get the door to break away from the wall and fall over. I asked him not to lean against the garage door. He was defiant and repeatedly ignored my request. He made an angry face at me and reached down to the container of screws he had sitting on the driveway as he slammed it shut. He snatched up the case, tablet and took himself to his silver truck with Texas license plates. He got inside the truck. Next, Daniel started the engine and ended up driving away without any communication or explanation. His behavior seemed very unprofessional. Daniel abandoned the job. I was left with an unfinished job and very poor service.
I contacted the office again to report about my experience. I wanted to let the company know their tech abandoned the job and left the work uncompleted. I was told that a new technician named Luis would be on his way out to me after he finished up at another job in another town he was at. I waited and waited for several more hours for the tech to show up. Luis never did show up The entire day passed by and nobody qualified ever showed up. I have been left with a situation where my garage door has still not been repaired and this Neighborhood Garage Door Service still has not honored the warranty they said they would honor. They advertise they are available nights and weekends.
I called again near 11:00pm and was told that everyone went home for the day in Dallas,TX. This company is not even based in Phoenix, AZ. However, they advertise a bunch of numbers in the Phoenix area like 480 630-3349, 602 903-6735 and 623 377-4982. It seems that these numbers ring into an office in Dallas, Texas. I was told I would have to call in again tomorrow. The behavior of this company does not seem reputable. It seems that I am given difficult or awkward treatment and the company seems shady. I have received very poor service, poor communication and unfulfilled promises. I feel like I have been involved with a scam company. I noticed there have been other negative reviews regarding this company. I would give this company a low consumer rating based on the low quality interaction. Also, I would warn others to avoid contacting Neighborhood Garage Door Services for any type of assistance. I hope that my review will help other people to avoid getting scammed.
