  • So I have been with WF for almost 40 yrs (used to be Valley National Bank) I recently applied for a Furniture store card that is financed through WF. WF denied me because of a charged off account from 5 yrs ago. I called and spoke to several people explaining that I was out of work for almost a year and a half, and went through a financial hardship (Haven't we all). After explaining myself, I finally got a hold of a sup (he really wasn't a sup, he was more a Team Lead, and pretended to be a sup), anyway, I explained everything to him, and he says 'Oh you need to speak to someone in the credit dept. I asked are they still open, because the day before I was told they closed 5:30pm CT (2 hrs ahead of me), he said oh yes they are, I'll transfer you, was on hold for 10 min and the call dropped. Why, because there was nobody there and it was 2 min past their closing time. Did he bother to take down my number, Nope! So I'm done, I am closing both accounts that I've had open for almost 40 yrs. Best of luck to you, if you ever need to speak to somebody, Incompetence at it's finest.
