| - We stayed from Wednesday until Saturday and let me tell you. I'll never be staying here on a Friday night or weekend for that matter ever again . The Oasis seems like an Oasis at first, it's clean, but expect people to be rowdy from Fri through Sun and that's from a couple who actually likes to party/get rowdy! When we got to our room there was no shampoo, conditioner, soap or anything, the room was clean though. Everyone seemed really friendly, the night staff especially so. The woman at the front desk in the afternoon seemed less than helpful, she told us we could check in over the phone after she took our information which wasn't true at all. We also stored our bags there, but beware... they just left my laptop and DSLR camera sitting wide out in the open for hours (they didn't move from where she placed them at all which was concerning). The connecting restaurant is open 24/7 which is great, except when you want to go get food on a Friday night only to get harassed by security who doesn't seem to realize that people actually stay in the hotel. Friday night would have been MISERABLE if it weren't for us reading reviews and preparing for the noise. We thought, "hey if we can sleep at Burning Man, we can sleep here" which in theory is great except that the room above us seemed to be a party with heeled elephants stomping around until 4AM. Glad we brought our own earplugs and headphones. Other pros: The price is decent for the quality of the place as well as the 2 minute walk to Freemont St. Rental bikes are close by for easy downtown access. Fiddlesticks food wasn't terrible and they are always open. Fun back area with games for adults. We didn't see any kids!
