| - Generally, I've found that most people I've spoken with at JJ Land are nice and polite. My apartment is cozy and newly renovated. It is a nice space in a nice neighborhood. Comparatively, I find my rent to be on the higher end. I lived less than 5 miles away previously in an apartment twice as large for far less money per month.
While I want to like JJ Land, I admit that I can't give them a rave review. When touring my apartment before signing a lease, I was told about several renovations that would be happening. However, when I moved into my apartment, only a few of them had actually materialized. Those that were done, were done well. I was told that more private parking would be made available, but it had not. I was also promised changes in my apartment that took months to happen.
In one case of an emergency gas leak, the response maintenance time could not have been better. The company sent someone to me immediately. However, there are holes in my ceiling that were left and have never been fixed since then.
Currently, I have no heat in my apartment as well as no access to a working stove or oven. I have submitted three maintenance requests for these issues in the last month, but have no received any help. I pay rent on time each month for a fully functional living space, but unfortunately, do not get what I pay for.
Overall, nice people. Nice properties. But very poor job at fulfilling the duties assumed by them as landlords in terms of providing for renters' needs.
