UPDATE: September 20th, we canceled back in early August, somewhere around the 8th. Returned the equipment, well under our 30-day money back guarantee we were promised by the salesman. Even filled out an online form, went to the Centurylink store and had a manager finish all of our canceling process. And surprise! We received a bill for $276.20 today!
I'm waiting for Centurylink and Wells Fargo to announce they're joining forces to take over the world one fraud at a time. Where's Batman when you need him?
Seriously, it's the future. When are companies like these going to learn that you cannot continue misleading and fraudulent business conduct? With social media and sites like Yelp, companies like Centurylink will not survive the test of time continuing to promote their salespeople to try to get customers to sign up for accounts only to fulfill bonus quotas. This kind of business encourages salespeople to get overly aggressive and they tend to make promises that they cannot back up.
Seriously, if you have read this far, stay very far away from Centurylink. I know there are very few options in the world of cable and internet access, but they should not be considered a viable option. They cannot live up to their promises and we went through hell and back to get out of this awful service and even worse customer service. Quite possibly the worst customer service we have ever dealt with. Seriously and without exaggeration. Centurylink needs to make some very serious changes to their services and how they deal with their customers. Their current antiquated ways will only lead to going out of business.
