| - We stayed in 703. There was no fridge in our room. Fridges are standard in hotel/motel rooms aren't they? Even if it's a mini fridge. Most hotel rooms come with a fridge but this wasn't the case. We had brought a cooler of liquor, snacks, food and water/coconut water and were planning on using a fridge but instead we filled our bathtub with ice and that was sufficient for 2 nights 3 days. If you're driving to Vegas, lug a cooler of liquor and food over. You'll save money with food and pregaming before you go out.
The bathroom is huge, it's like 80% the size of the bedroom, which didn't make sense considering they should have invested some of the space for a fridge. But it ended up making sense when 5 girls were getting ready, putting on makeup and doing our hair all at the same time. That wouldn't have been possible in a smaller bathroom.
The door to the shower is crystal clear glass, which aesthetically looks nice but it's not really efficient when someone wants to shower and someone else wants to use the sink/mirror/toilet. We ended up putting a towel over the glass door so that the person showering is hidden from anyone using the sink and toilet.
The socket would work only with one thing plugged in, which sucked because that meant only one person blow drying their hair, curling their hair, or straightening their hair at a time. We had to allot time for each person to do her hair when we could have had 2 people doing their hair at the same time.
Parking garage is not connected to the hotel portion so unless you get valet at the front desk, you'd have to roll your luggage through the shopping center and casino to get to your room.
Planet Hollywood is in the middle of the strip with a Fat Tuesday located in the shopping center and an open 24/7 Earl of Sandwich in the casino. Knocking out iconic things to do all just by staying at Planet Hollywood. They have a buffet but I didn't go there let alone see it while I was staying there.
I've read about people complaining on the cleanliness. I thought it was average, not too clean and not too dirty but I'm comparing it to a scale of frat house dirty to spa clean. There were some tiny stains in places if you looked hard enough but it wasn't disgusting as some other people wrote that it was. Maybe I'm part of the other half of the customers that contribute to the dirtiness of the hotel instead of complaining about it. I remember spilling some cheesy mac and cheese (from Earl of Sandwich) and maybe some liquor too on the carpet in the hallway. Sorry.
Cons: no fridge, wall sockets working 50%, parking garage is far away from hotel
Pros: shopping center downstairs, bathtub filled with ice to replace the nonexistent fridge, large restroom, separate privacy door for toilet
