| - I always enjoy losing up in bulk on the items I use frequently. Any Costco is typically a very busy place with a large rotation of food, clothing and various other widgets that can range in price from the inexpensive to ridiculous. I've seen bottles of extremely high end alcohol for 20k or more that's next to several other bottles that are 1.5k - 19.5k held in a glass case for display. I asked a worker that was grabbing some gift certificates for my wife and I if anyone actually buys that alcohol, or if it's just for show. She said "You'd be surprised, a lot of people will drop 5-10k on a single bottle of scotch or cognac, occasionally someone will drop 20-25k fir a single bottle of liquor. Back in the day I use to dabble in high end cognac, yes there is a difference. The question is, do you want to drink a car or better yet a few round lots of stock in a good blue chip company. As far as I'm concerned, regardless of your financial status, it takes a bit of ignorance and usually it's the yuppies in their 20's to early 30's that do it. I'm guilty of it but, I could never bring myself to again. There are too many people with nothing for me to be wasting resources in one the most deplorable ways (You're literally pissing away your money). Now, as for Costco, give me a giant box of shredded beef tacos and a dozen tamales along with a couple hundred dollars of several items used regularly (toilet paper lol) and I'm set at this place. Yesterday was the very first time I was able to go to Costco and get out for under a hundred dollars.
