Pros: The quality of food, price and portions are good. There are a lot of different options in terms of size of the dish. Its also easy to customize to your taste since there a lot of meat / seafood options as well various different types of broths (beef based, pork based, spicy). The standard pho is always very good. One of the few pho places in Charlotte that has glass noodles and you can always ask for extra noodles. The summer rolls are vegan friendly (if need be) - shrimp, tofu, pork or chicken options available. The quail appetizer is always very good as well. Lots of different boba flavours. I tried the green tea today and it's perfect for a cold rainy day - definitely enough to share between two people. Overall for flavor I give this place a 3.5/5
Cons: I've been going here for about 8 years now. The service has deteriorated quiet a bit over the years. Expect to wait longer than the norm after being seated. It takes a little bit of time for someone to come get your drink order. Also, I don't think they keep track of the order of customers being seated. The last three times I have been there people who were seated after me had their drink order taken before mine. So while the food is good, don't expect to go here for a quick dinner. Also if you ask for chili oil or any other sauces, don't get frustrated if it takes them a little while to get it to you or if you have to ask multiple times before someone finally fulfills your request. It's just the vibe of the restaurant. Just enjoy yourself, don't rush. For service I would give them a 2.5/5.
This is not necessarily a con, but it states on Yelp that there is Free WiFi at Pho Real. There isn't. So if you're planning on studying while you're there this isn't the place.
