| - We purchased our first house in Las Vegas just about two months ago. We both are generally not very comfortable with the 'salesmen/women' types of people and we were concerned that our experience of home buying could be negatively affected by constantly having to deal with the 'push'iness, sales tactics, and general personal distance of some real estate agents we had come to know in the past.
Being from outside the state of Nevada and not knowing anyone from there, we found Sandy and a couple of other real estate agents through our search on Yelp and contacted them for representing us as a buyer's agent. Unlike the other candidates who either did not respond within a reasonable time frame, or did not show much enthusiasm for us 'out-of-state buyers', Sandy called us back quickly with much interest and got things into motion by asking us about what we were looking for, etc., what our options were, and she put us on a house search mailing list based on the criteria we provided her. After talking with her over the phone a few times and deciding on some houses to look for, we had the opportunity to meet her in person and we were delighted to find out that her energy, personality, enthusiasm, professional attitude, and her knowledge of the Las Vegas area would work great for us sans the typical pushiness and cold separation that we had anticipated.
Thanks to Sandy's work, we ended up seeing more than 30 to 40 houses by her driving us around in many parts of Las Vegas that we decided on and over a course of 3 trips that we made for finding the house we liked, and she looked into many more houses and gave us tips and pointers on the houses, writing the offers and contracts, bidding, and closing steps. We eventually found the house we really loved and our house buying experience memories will remain great ones for us thanks in large part to Sandy's work.
One aspect of Sandy that we did not know first but found very helpful is that she is also an experienced appraiser and we were able to get accurate ideas right away from her as to what the houses we had our eyes on would be realistically appraised. Finally, to top it off, we found her to be a friendly and enjoyable person throughout several social occasions that we shared during our house buying period.
We suggest Sandy to anyone who is looking for a real estate agent in the Las Vegas area based on our own great experience we had with her. The combination of her personality and extensive knowledge and experience of the Las Vegas area is a great asset for anyone who decides to buy a house there.
