  • So I decided to drop by this new location for what I thought would be a quick brow wax..... Let me start with the good: I like the recliner I sat in. Far more comfy than the standard, flat esthetician bed. I do hope they are Lysol or Clorox wiped at least daily..... Now, on to the actual brow wax... the girl who started didn't seem confident in her waxing skills at all. Not wanting to be rude or telling someone how to do their job when it's not something I'm skilled in I just laid there and let her do her thing. After about 20 min she asked me to hold on because "she was having wax problems" and came back a few minutes later with someone else. She wasn't sure why there were a few hairs left even though she had waxed. The second girl told her to just tweeze the strays. Next she tried cleaning the excess wax off and said she couldn't get it cleaned up so she went to get the other girl again. While she was attempting to clean the wax off she told me that she doesn't normally do waxing, she normally does lashes (which I learned you don't necessarily have to go to school for...???) but that the other "esties" were out today. Ummmm, that doesn't make me feel confident about you being near my eyes with hot wax. Anyway, the second girl returned to take over. She finished plucking my brows, got the excess wax cleaned up and finally sent me on my way. 40 minutes later. As I was checking out I asked if the first girl was even licensed. I was given a very quick response of "yes, everyone who works here is licensed". Ummm.... sure?!?!?! I wish when I had called for an appointment they told me they didn't have anyone available. It seems they were more interested in booking an appointment than doing what was best for me, their client. I would have come tomorrow or when an esthetician was available. The saving grace was the comfy chair (given how long I had to lay there) and the second girl who saved the day!!!
