First and last time I hike this. It was a fun first experience, but I think the first time is good enough for me and my legs. I saw a couple of people do this so my friend and I decided to hike this instead of red rock because it would be different.
The first 1.5 miles is pretty flat. It kind of tricked us into thinking it would just be a long flat hike with a couple of obstacles. Definitely not the case!
It was a fun hike, but it also painful on the way back. The first rope is pretty easy. It's pretty interesting because once you think there's no way to get down some rocks, you look down and there's the rope! Sometimes they're kind of hidden in the cracks.
Everytime we wanted to stop, we would come across people coming back and they would say "you have to keep going and reach the river!"
A couple of tips:
1) Bring more than 1 bottle of water!
2)The first hot spring is not the destination, keep going!
3) if you're a girl, bring some strong guys to help you up some rocks!
4) slippers or water shoes help when you reach the lake because getting your shoes and socks are not pleasant.
