  • This was my first brewery ever in Pittsburgh as a new resident of the area and I am so glad we chose to come here! Hitchhiker Brewing Company is a cute little brewery nestled in a residential area of Castle Shannon. My favorite parts were the deck, cheese plate and wine in that order. Yes, I said wine. I don't drink beer but I love visiting local craft breweries and I so appreciate when the breweries offer wine!!! The cheese plate was perfection! We enjoyed every bite. I was impressed at the selections of cheese and the nuts included on the plate. Some breweries can be skimpy on their charcuterie or cheese plates - not hitchhiker. This place feels like a hidden gem because of the way it's situated in a neighborhood but it was super accessible from the T. I also adore their graphic design/marketing. I wanted to buy a shirt and now have to go back so I can do so!
