  • Dr Thomas has rebuilt (ACL tear + meniscus damage) my left knee and repaired (slightly torn rotator cuff + debridement) my left shoulder. The knee surgery was a few years ago and I was back playing ice hockey 10 months later. And still no issues 2+ years later. The shoulder repair was relatively minor in comparison and only missed about 5 weeks of hockey. Now I will say this, doing your physical therapy after surgery is an absolute must. I've met many people over the years that complain that they never got better after whatever surgery they had from whatever doctor they went to and almost every time, they will admit to not being committed to their therapy. I was in PT 18 hours after the knee surgery and continued with my stretches/exercises EVERY SINGLE DAY for over a year and same with the shoulder. Dr Thomas is a phenomenal physician, but if you don't put in the post-op effort, you'll probably be disappointed with no one but yourself to blame.
