I never leave bad reviews.. but this was straight up the worst sushi experience I've ever had. I wish I had read the reviews to this restaurant previously.
It was my first time eating here and the sushi itself was alright, I enjoyed the maki rolls. Miso soup was also good as well as the salad. However, our second order of salmon sashimi.. was half-assed frozen. My teeth actually felt noticeably cold after eating it so I got turned off ordering more.
I did not have any issues with our waitress, she was pretty consistent. The chef even came out at some points to bring out our food to us when she wasn't there.
....Until we hit dessert. Now the restaurant was relatively empty aside from a large group reservation (15 ish). Judging by their interactions with the owner, I assume that they knew each other and that person's family was being treated to eat there or something. That group was extremely rowdy as they ordered quite a bit of wine, which is fine. We eventually just tuned them out.
Just after we ordered our ice cream, we saw one of the males in the large party PROJECTILE PUKING to the ground. Now, I thought it was just the amount of food that he had eaten.. however he passed out on the couch/cushioned seats after indicating that he was wasted. I felt even more awful for this guy that came in a bit earlier and had to sit next to them (due to limited space) and we watched him throw the menu and instantly leave. Can't blame the poor guy for being the one sitting at the table next to the male who got sick and witnessed everything first hand.
I always leave room for dessert.. but after that I couldn't finish my ice cream and told the waitress I simply lost my appetite. She seemed annoyed/confused almost but didn't seem to click into WHY we lost our appetite due to the recent events.
I hardly ever go out of my way to leave reviews but I'm extremely unimpressed with this restaurant's service. You would think that a business would at least TRY and limit the amount of booze their guests drink especially if they are a special party. It was the way they handled the situation, no empathy for their customers.
When we were leaving the restaurant, he was still passed out in the same position on the couch/chair. I find it really hard to sympathize with someone over drinks in an AYCE sushi restaurant of all places!!!
Needless to say I am never going back to this restaurant. EVER.
