| - The only reason I put one star is because it was the only way to submit the review. This business is now called Regal Dry Cleaners. I paid 38.00 to have our comforter dry cleaned. The care tag has the symbol on it for NO MACHINE WASH. I picked it up last night, but did not open the bag until today. Normally I would have just put it in the linen closet until it was needed again in the fall, but for some reason I opened it up. When I took it out of the bag I found it was wet! I took it back to the drycleaner to show them. It appeared it had been washed in a washing machine and when I spread it out on their counter, it was all shrunk and puckered. The woman working there actually accused me of taking it home and washing it! I assured her I had not. For heaven's sake, I am over 50 years old, I have had this comforter for years, and I have always taken it to the dry cleaner. I am not stupid, and I would not wash a dry clean only comforter. She said she would send it back to the factory and have it redone, which I saw no point in, since it was visibly destroyed, but I said okay. I got a call a little while ago from her saying the factory said they did not do it and wanted to know why I decided to wash it. I am so upset and so angry. Accountability seems practically non-existent anymore. I not only wasted 38.00 on dry cleaning, but now have to buy a new comforter. I was warned by my neighbor not to take it there because they had damaged her bedspread, but I had never had problems there before. It is bad enough when a business damages your possession, but to accuse you of doing it?! I will not take my cleaning there again, even though it is a 2 block walk. I wish I could post the photos I took of what they did to it.
