  • Eye Centers -- 5 star Oct 21, 2017 4:48pm. Wow, amazing! I have worn glasses for my astigmatism since 5th grade. Today, day 1 post op, I sat at a sports bar having lunch with a friend and could actually read the ticker at the bottom of the screen!!! It's unbelievable how clear and crisp things are now. I think the thing that truly surprised me the most, though, was how simple the actual procedure was. I promise you, it is 1,000 times better than you think it's going to be. Teri, Heather, Dr. Rauch and Dr. Jaben did a fantastic job of explaining everything before, during and after the procedure. I am someone who would flinch if anyone came near my eyes, so I couldn't imagine how I was going to get through it. It's called numbing drops and Xanex, people!!!! In all seriousness, they make you as comfortable as possible, play soft music, and talk you through everything that's about to happen. Having great doctors and staff you can trust at a reputable center with top of the line equipment is worth every penny to me. Like everyone else, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
