  • I've visited the Short Leash truck several times now, and I have to help spread my love for this place. I love this place!! First off, the customer service is top notch. Sometimes you have to wait a while to get your food, but that's what happens when there's a line and clearly the kitchen is tiny. It's in a trailer! Even when the line has been long, I've always been treated warmly and felt appreciated, which I think is charming. Some eating establishments are more focused on turnover than character, and I think the opposite is true here. Once I showed up when they were closed (or just about to be, at least) and they still took the time to churn out a hot dog for me! My favorite variety so far has been the Igby (cole slaw, blue cheese, and barbecue sauce.) The naan used instead of a bun really helps hold all the toppings in place, and it's less crumbly tasting than a regular hot dog bun. I'm not a vegetarian, but I just don't like sausage casing. Fortunately, the veggie dog used at Short Leash tastes just like an actual dog but without that gross crunchy texture. Awesome! If you're a Facebook fan, you can get updates of all their fantastic sounding weekly specials and cute pictures of the dogs they're named after. Great food, excellent service, Short Leash Dogs definitely has me on a... SHORT LEASH! (Couldn't resist.)
