| - Stopped in on Saturday early evening for date night. We opted to park on the street versus Valet for $6, simply because we were able to get a street spot easily and had a feeling we needed a little walk after we stuffed ourselves silly with all the great food!
We took the elevator up along with the crowd of people waiting, which had a large window overlooking the city so you can catch a glimpse if you enter the elevator facing the back. Since we had a reservation, we were seated promptly at a table in the main dining room facing the floor to ceiling windows. Although all the tables by the windows were taken, we didn't mind since it was foggy and rainy, there wasn't much of a view.
I forget the name of our server, but he was polite and efficient. He let us know of the specials and recommendations and gave us enough time to look over the menu. We continued to order the Sakari Sushi Roll for our appetizer, which was phenomenal. It was probably my favorite part of the meal. The sushi tasted fresh and the texture of the tempura outer shell was crispy and light. Very tasty, indeed. For entrees, we ordered the Salmon special which was accompanied by a sweet potato and flash fried shrimp. My date thought it was delicious. I ordered the famous crab cakes, and boy the other reviewers weren't kidding about how good they were. The crab cakes had 90% crab and hardly any fillers. Well worth the $36 price tag. For the side dish, we shared the crab Mac and cheese. This was the only dish I wasn't crazy for. Especially for the $19 price tag, there was barely any crab and the cheese was overly creamy and the macaroni was a little too al dente for my taste. For dessert we got the Angel food cake grilled cheese. Although it was delicious, I regret not getting the Pineapple Upside down bread pudding instead. Another table had ordered it and I was drooling at the sight of it. And they were shoveling it down faster than I could blink, so I imagine it was tasty! :)
Overall, with a couple of drinks and coffee, our bill came to just under $200. I think this meal was very good, but I think I would have saved it for more of a special occasion like a birthday or Anniversary. But the service was impeccable and the Manager Skylar was very nice and checked in a couple of times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
