  • I saw a lot of good reviews with beautiful results from this company.. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Glamsquad. I booked hair and makeup for myself only. He did my hair first - seemed to be rushed while doing it but I didn't think anything of it at the time. The end result of that wasn't terrible - a messier, somewhat similar version of the picture I showed him, but I was excited and wasn't too worried about my hair. Then came the makeup. Again, he seemed rushed but I figured, hey he's a makeup artist he knows what he's doing. I was going for a pretty simple/neutral look, nothing too crazy, and at first I thought it looked okay. He finished with my lips and that time when I went and checked in the mirror, I could tell right away my lips weren't colored in completely. Which was funny to me because as he was doing it he said "Gorgeous!" like it looked good - yet it was clearly messed up, WTF? I went back out to ask him to fix it, and he had already packed EVERYTHING up. Now I definitely knew he was in a hurry, so I had him fix it and paid him so he could leave - and then I went to fix it up more myself. After looking more closely in the mirror, my makeup was pretty awful for a professional! The foundation was streaky, like he literally didn't blend it in all the way. No concealer (which I clearly need for my dark under eye circles) I guess maybe I should have asked but I didn't think I would need to?! The way he "filled in" my brows.. One looked fine but the other he obviously took the brush ABOVE my eyebrow. It was brow powder so would have been an easy fix, yet he left it. It was honestly pretty laughable. Luckily I was in such a good mood I didn't even care and just went about fixing it myself as much as I could. I really wish I had thought to take pictures of it though. After going through pictures online, turns out this was James who I believe is an owner or something?! I just can't believe that someone who calls himself a professional hair and makeup artist could leave someone like that on their wedding day! I don't know what was going on and why he was so rushed, but there's no excuse for that. I'm sorry I gave them my money and I feel sorry for anyone else who has a similar experience.
