I decided to give the Emerald Club thing a try. I fly weekly and thought it would be great to not stand in line. I rented twice from National. All was good until my 2nd rental. Got a letter a week after my 2nd rental saying there was damage on my car, notify my insurance company and Credit Card Company ASAP as there is a damage claim coming. Keep in mind that the car checked out fine with the attendant during the return process. I called and complained. Was told that sometimes the attendants fill out damage forms after the return to cover their butts. 2 weeks later I got a call saying that there would not be a damage claim - probably because my lawyer was on the phone with me during the phone call when I complained. I've heard about Car Rental companies scamming customers when attendants damage the cars. WATCH OUT FOR NATIONAL CAR RENTAL. I'm going back to my old Car Rental Company. 16 rentals at this facility with no problems.
