| - This hotel is a special place, for me. I have seen, pretty much, almost every inch of it BUT the rooms that you can stay in. I'd say I think I haven't stayed, because if it is haunted, I don't know how I'd handle that. lol. I'm being honest. Anyhoo, I've had lunch in the restaurant several times, under at least three names. I remember Matteo's. (They also ran the bar, down stares, for a short time. I'm not sure if the residents were happy with that?) I have loved it, every time. I've had eggs benedict, catfish, some sort of sandwich (a long time ago), and a huge salad of some kind. I need to try this new restaurant. This past trip, I noticed that there are less to no shops, but there are additions to the museum and the gallery is still there. The museum, when open, is pretty interesting. It was Sunday, so many things are closed. The lobby is still enchanting and furnished to the nines. I could just sit there, all day, but that would probably become creepy, on my part O_O I have had drinks and played pool in the underground bar. It is no longer open to the general public, again, but from what I caught, it is used as a meeting place. I would dare to assume it is for the local residents, only. Who knows? One of these days, while the opportunity is still available, I would like to try to stay the night...I would like to. lol. It's beautiful building that holds so much history and stories. That's the part I love the most.
