  • Very average cupcakes. Got a red velvet and a "choc a holic". The red velvet one had good frosting but the cake itself was lacking flavor, the hint of cocoa nowhere to be found. Texturally it was soft and moist if not a bit too airy and commercial tasting. The chocolate one was a complete failure though, and was chocolate only in name. The buttercream just tasted like sugar and the cake itself once again had a good texture but no flavor whatsoever. Gave 3 stars only because the price was cheap enough for what I expected. Small cakes is also a large franchise which probably explains how commercial the cake tastes.
