  • The review on this doctor is this high only because I have fully recovered from my surgery at this point. I found him to be decent both before, during, and after the surgery and by all accounts he is an EXCELLENT surgeon. The reason I took a star off (and it would have been 4 stars off if I had reviewed him a couple of weeks after surgery) is because after the surgery, during my 2 days in the hospital, no doctors ever came to talk to me about what I was supposed to do. The nurse at the hospital said not to change the bandage, but to just leave it alone until my 2-week post op appointment. I called his office and Priscilla said to change the bandage, but gave no instructions on how to do that, so we went and bought a ton of gauze and ace bandages (I was wrapped from my toes to halfway up my thigh) and still found that we were woefully unstocked once we unwrapped what the doc had put on me. I had to google "how to change a surgical dressing" where they talked about sterilization and what not. I also told Priscilla that the meds were not strong enough and I was overdosing on Tylenol in my Vicodin and it was still not sufficient to keep me from crying because it hurt so much. She told me to wait until my 2-week post-op. She parroted this phrase a lot to me until I had my husband call and MAKE her get off her lazy behind and actually ASK THE DOCTOR what he could do. This was 2 days post-op and I wasn't about to spend the next 2 weeks crying for lack of pain meds. Anyway, besides their complete and total lack of information that they give you between the surgery and 2 weeks post-op when you get to see the doctor, everything was great. It was a very nerve-wracking 2 weeks, let me tell you! Be sure you know what to ask BEFORE you have the surgery because you won't see or talk to the doc for a solid 2 weeks and Priscilla will certainly not take the initiative to go and ask him for you! Maybe the office environment there discourages her from doing what it takes to care for the patient properly, but whatever is causing this type of behavior, it needs to stop before someone sues them for .... I don't know, negligence or something. Anyway, as I said, be prepared to ask about POST-OP details BEFORE the surgery and you'll be in excellent hands.
