| - Dr. Kleuber (Brad) is THE chiropractor to go see if you are an athlete and/or serious about working out. My hobby is bodybuilding, and after I had shoulder surgery in August 2015, I struggled to get my motion back and it was restricting my workouts significantly. Brad is an athlete and totally "gets" that not everyone is going to be okay with accepting a sedentary lifestyle after a surgery or injury and has worked with me to get back to where I want to be through ART therapy and showing me exercises I can do on my own to improve motion. My surgeon told me that I would probably never be able to XY&Z and Brad told me that he didn't think that was true and that motion could be regained. I don't fully understand ART and it seems like a lot of poking and squeezing the joint, but I do feel that it has helped regain motion in my shoulder post-surgery.
Scheduling is a breeze--either schedule at the end of your appointment or do it online--and you can text, email or call Brad directly to move things around. There is no office staff, so you spend the entire time (my appointments are only about 15 minutes) with the doctor. Dr. Kleuber strikes me as somewhat of an introvert, so don't expect a stready stream of conversation. When I first began going to De Novo, I was going about once a week and as I progressed, we progressively cut down the frequency of my appointments. I found this to be honest since he wasn't trying to get me to come in for unnecessary sessions. Currently, I go about every 6 weeks. Parking around the office can be tough, so if street parking isn't available, I usually valet my car in the Smithfield street garage since appointments are so fast.
