| - Edited: Seeing as how the only problem in the room seemed to be a training issue with new staff and the owner reached out and offered an explanation and full refund, ive updated my review score and am excited to check out another room at this establishment.
Done 30+ rooms in 5 states, worked at a room in LA for about a year, leaving this review in hopes of reaching people with similar experience. Having never done one here, I researched Las Vegas rooms as best I could and thought that Escapology's Budapest Express was the best in terms of quality and difficulty. For a beginner, would probably recommend the establishment as a whole, but a veteran would leave extremely unsatisfied -- as I did. Ive never ever heard of a room giving you the answers as you go, and to have the final code literally displayed on the screen with 16 minutes to go was not only mind boggling, but insulting.
The concept was fun, the puzzles were meh, the set decor was okay, and the staff were very friendly (thanks Mark!), but it seems clear that this is one of those business-first escape rooms. Beautiful lobby, great selection of rooms, but devoid of substance. If you want to pay for lipstick on a pig id say just stay on the strip.
