| - My family and I stayed at this hotel over the weekend because there was some big boxing fight over the weekend causing all the rooms to be sold out/expensive in a last minute's notice. I haven't stayed here in ages and from what I recall as a kid, I kept my expectations low. I had found it interesting that the lobby was packed with adults. Not families, but adults. I was guessing a majority of visitors use this Circus Circus just to have a bed. When I entered the room, it smelled like someone sprayed an overwhelming amount of air freshener (I'm guessing for the smoking rooms?). The room actually didn't look that bad. The double full beds were nice and clean, the bathroom seemed spotless, but you could tell that the rug had not been cleaned for years.
I wanted to visit the arcade area since I haven't visited in years, but this time I was actually excited to pass through the slots area as I am of age. I totally regret that. All the slot locations in this whole casino wreaked of smoke. It felt like the air wasn't being circulated and you were just inhaling smoke. Once I got the the arcade area, it felt empty especially for a Saturday night. There were a lot of carnival games where it seemed like they were begging you to play. I only played the claw machine games where they pretty much jip you because I knew I positioned the claw perfectly, but somehow they just want me to insert $20 before I can actually get a $2 stuffed animal.
In all, I would say I wouldn't mind staying here just to have a room, but that's pretty much it. They don't really have a food court just to grab a bite, except for Krispy Kreme donuts and Auntie Anne's pretzels. Otherwise, you can step outside and have some Mc Donald's next door.
