| - I would like to like this place, but the food is not good. It isn't throw-it-away-terrible, but nothing to talk about. Years ago, I ate at Basil Thai when it was on Green Street, and after ordering food for me, my wife and two kids, the smell of it was so awful, that we just threw it away without eating it. it was that bad, and it didn't seem that bringing it back to the counter would help the situation. In their new location, I ordered red curry with tofu, hoping for a better than throw-away-bad experience, and while the red curry was nicely spiced, the vegetables tasted old, possibly from an old bag of frozen broccoli, canned bamboo shoots, and an onion. The tofu similarly did not taste freshly prepared. I cannot explain why the students all line up to go to this place, other than that it is the only Thai restaurant on this side of campus.
