On our way back from Zion in Utah, we were craving a buffet as a reward for the drive and being out in the wilderness. This place had pretty good reviews so we stopped by Saturday night around 8pm. Despite the great reviews, the place was pretty empty - not sure if it was a good or bad sign (no clue when the Vegas dinner rush hours are) but I was starving so I took it as a good sign.
AYCE is $22 for lunch and $27 for dinner. The menu is pretty huge and also has a good variety of cooked stuff. Can't compare to other AYCE sushi Vegas places since we weren't local.
The good:
- Service was amazing! Not sure if it is because it was half empty but props to their team - plus the food came out super fast
- The fish didn't taste fishy. The fish to rice ratio is a little higher than I would prefer...I would say that it is average. The uni and sweet shrimp was super tasty.
The meh:
- Don't get their oysters...it was way sauced up and didn't look terribly fresh
- Don't get their Galbi/Kalbi: super chewy
- Their rolls / Sushi Nachos were way too saucy. Would not recommend
Stick with their nigiri and don't get any of the cooked stuff or rolls. This place is 3.5, rounded down because I'm a little weary of places that offer free stuff (in this case - a soda) for reviews (that you have to show on the spot).
Parking: pretty easy in a strip mall - on the side of Citibank and Urban Turban.
