| - We came here for lunch today because my dad had driven by it and wanted to scope it out. It was $30 for two burgers, onion rings, and one soda - and there are dozens of other places I would've rather spent that money. It feels like a Red Robin meets a Buffalo Wild Wings with Denny's style service.
We got there just after they opened; it's a tuesday in the middle of summer. There were only a few tables making them clearly over-staffed (a bartender, 4 servers, a manager, and a guy that just stood around) but no one was seating the tables. We were halted at the door while the party ahead of us looked to choose their own seat. The sign said "wait to be seated" though the previous group hadn't, so I asked if it was "seat your self." the bartender told me one server had gotten a table and the next server up would take us... Hire a host.
I went to the restroom after being seated and the toilets wouldn't flush; none of them. I told the manager when I came out and she looked at me and said, "Oh, they turned the water off!" That's pecuilar, gross, and I'm pretty sure illegal during business hours. She made no apology and lacked any sort of authoritative presence. She was also walking around, drinking a cup of water - which isn't a good look.
Our server was awkward - nice but not helpful, kind of timid. I felt like everyone there was experiencing their first day in the hospitality industry; it was sort of painful. They didn't really know the menu or how to act with customers. I ordered a burger, but then heard another server talking about the special Sonoran burger and ran over to change my order. I joked with him about not telling me about the special - he told me he didn't even know they were doing that...
The burger that came out was pretty lame for $9. It had way too much limp iceberg lettuce under the patty, and the jalapenos and sriracha mayo were just thrown in the center. This is not a $9 burger, it made me feel like it was someone on the line's first day too. The food tasted decent. I had a turkey patty, my dad had all beef and said it was good quality. We enjoyed the onion rings, also. They were nothing special, but were cooked well. We both said we'd never come back for it / could've made the burgers at home - but it filled our need to eat. It's clear they put a lot of money into the building; hopefully they can work out the kinks..
Pros:
Turkey patty, veggie patty, chicken patty option in addition to beef burgers
Large beer list
Lots of tvs (if you're into that)
Clean feeling (except for the toilet flushing incident.)
Nice patio (when it's not melting outside)
Cons:
High price for what you get
Unprofessional / awkward staff
Sloppily put together burgers for $9-$15 per burger
Water was turned off during business hours making toilets unflushable
Weird Vibe
