  • Just want to be upfront that my rating is based off of my interaction with the salon owner and has nothing to do with the stylists. I see Jessie everyday at work and decided to save up to get my hair done by her. I made an ppointment and talked about the pricing before hand. The cut and color turned out better than I could have imagined. I have received nothing but compliments all day. In the midst of my appointment I noticed the owner come in, I had assumed it was the manager at first but was corrected. I finish my appointment and went to pay at the front counter. The owner asked what I was told regarding price, to which I replied $170. (There was no noticeable listing of pricing and services when you walk in.) She replies that typically a cut as $65 and the bleach was $145, and trailed off mid sentence. I asked what it is normally, she said around $200, but this time we will let it go. I felt as though they were trying to scam me for a second in addition from being taken aback from that comment. The front desk representative was clearly uncomfortable and had a difdicult time even looking at me as she rang up the $170. That experience with the owner stuck in my head the whole ride home. I decided that Jessie was going to be my go to in the midst of my appointment because of how everything turned out; but had I been a walk in and had that happen I would just keep looking. So moral of the story if you're looking for a really good hairdresser talk to Jessie, but maybe have the appointment somewhere else. I will even go as far as to buy all the materials myself and have her come to my house before I go back to that salon and deal with that kind of drama.
