  • This looks like any regular Apple Store and perhaps is really like one. However I had a pretty disappointing interaction here. First of all if you don't want to wait forever to talk to a technician about any problem in your apple device you should make an appointment. We didn't and we were in for a long wait. I have an iPhone 6S that turns off abruptly at times even with 60% battery charge. This is a known bug in iPhone6S s produced in a certain time frame and my phone was manufactured in that period. When I went for the first time I was told that the serial number of my phone doesn't appear in the list of serial numbers of iPhones released by apple that are known to have this issue. So after a long wait they did some standard diagnostics, found no issues and simply did a factory reset on my phone. I came back hoping the issue would get fixed. Immediately after I got back home, the phone shut off again. I immediately went back to the store with my phone to show them the glitch. This time they made us wait again for quite some time. Then another technician started talking to us. We explained everything and her response was "we don't know what's wrong. We can change the battery and see. That will cost $79.99. Since your phone's serial number is not on the list released by apple we can't help." . My phone is really well maintained and I was hoping for some support where they'd send in a report about my phone and try to possibly update their list. It's probable that this is a hardware glitch and apple didn't stick to the quality it promises. Instead I received no help from them. Update: It's been a few months since December and Apple has released some iOS updates. After updating the OS on my phone it seems to be working smoothly now. The sudden shut downs haven't occurred in a while. I didn't buy a new battery as it felt like a scam to have to replace the battery after just barely a year of buying a new iPhone. I really wish the person at the store had given me the right advice to wait instead of pushing me to buy a new battery.
