  • I regret that I have taken so long to post a review. I had robotic surgery with Dr. Kowalski almost 2 years ago and I have wanted to share my experience but have not found the time. Seeing some of the poor reviews I felt compelled to give my experience because the care I received was top notch. I was told by my OBGYN about Dr. Kowalski, and trusting my gyn (Dr. Maria Keller) completely, I agreed to meet with Kowalski for a consult. Dr. Kowalski answered every single question and being in the medical field myself, I had a ton. The surgery was at Siena hospital (also wonderful experience) I've had other surgeries and am always sore, my back, my neck from the need for an airway placement, my abdomen from the rough handling of me while asleep. I woke from surgery with no pain. I thought for sure that this was just the anesthetic and soon it would wear off and I would feel my incisions. The next morning I walked several times, and was still in awe that I had no pain at all. The nurses would remind me that I had medication available if I felt I needed it. I never did. I didn't fill the prescriptions as I felt amazing. Never did I need any pain medication after surgery. My abdominal wall was mildly achey, to be expected, but tolerable. I had some concerns after surgery, every concern was covered. I was seen in her office twice after surgery but was comforted to know what I thought were issues were just part of the healing process, and everything turned out perfectly as she had promised. Working as a nurse in an ED, many women come through with pain and discomfort and are referred to OBGYN for follow up. Many have asked my opinion and I have written Dr. Kowalski's name and number down several times because I feel like my experience was incredible and these women often leave scared, or unsure and I trust that she would meet or exceed expectations of the women that I send her way. Having surgery was a serious decision for me and her skill and gentle approach were so appreciated. My quality of life has improved, and I have Dr. Kowalski to thank for that.
