Went from 5 stars to 2.
1 star for cleanliness and product availability
2 stars for a conveniently located store
They lost the rest due to poor customer service. I don't know her name, but mainly the heavy set white woman that works the register a lot. She's all cheerful when talking to Co workers. But when it comes to customers it's like talking to a wall. Normal people that know customer service skills would say Hello back when a customer says hello. Not just going straight to ringing up items without the hello how are you or did you find everything alright?.... When you hand a customer a receipt and the customer says thank you, you respond with You're welcome or you're welcome have a nice day, not "mhmmm". This is isn't the first time I've faced this with that employee. I've see it done to other customers as well besides myself. I'm typically happy and like to small talk or laugh when checking out because I've found through customer service, a good laugh makes both the employee and customer feel much better, even when having a bad day... but when you just don't care about customer service that hurts the business. Thank you lady. Even though this place is a block away, I may now take the extra time to go to another Dollar Tree that knows the meaning of customer service.
