  • First things first... Dr. Gelo is my hero! After neglecting a missing filling waiting for my new insurance to kick in, I woke up this morning in excruciating pain! And to make matters worse, it was a Saturday! After trying to convince myself for two hours it would go away and taking a ton of ibuprofen with no relief, I found Aloha Dental on Yelp and immediately called at 9:45 am. I was greeted on the phone by a lovely receptionist who expressed true concern for my epidemic and I had an appointment for me at 11:30am. I arrived at Aloha Dental and started filling out paperwork. It's available on Zocdoc and you can speed up the process by filling it out ahead of time. The staff was beyond amazing and helpful! Within 5 min of being there I was already escorted back. I met Dr. Gelo and we immediately did X-rays. Dr. Gelo is warm, friendly, and an extremely knowledgeable dentist with a great sense of humor. He determined that I would definitely need a root canal. Yippee! As I child, I have the ABSOLUTE WORST horror stories from dental experiences and as a result have extreme anxiety regarding dental procedures. Dr Gelo and staff eased my fears and got straight to work. I can honestly say that during the whole root canal after providing ample numbing medication (no gas), I never once felt an ounce of pain! It was a 100% pain free root canal!! I never knew this was possible. The procedure lasted about 1 hour and was accompanied by Netflix in the procedure room. Watching The Office had everyone in a good mood :) Since the procedure, I have only taken one 800mg Ibuprofen and have been able to eat and drink completely pain free for the first time in a longtime. Thank you Dr. Gelo and staff! You all are truly amazing and have a made a lifelong customer! Do not hesitate to choose Aloha Dental for all of your dental needs!
