| - I agree with the previous Yelp 5-star reviews..., so I will just write about my opinions in no particular order:
- I like the old school and the new school approach "Rodd the Todays Poo Svc, owner" uses.
He is responsive on Yelp. He is responsive on his 602-390-3692 cell. He texts you BEFORE and 'after' pics that show you,
- This is your pool after the Scottsdale monsoon.
- This is your pool after we cleaned the pool, after the storm
We met on Yelp after I put in an RFP (request for proposals)
- I like working with one person who is accountable.
I have a very dumb small business. My mentor taught me about getting new business. Mark McCormack said, "Give 'em one throat to choke". What he meant is to be accountable and available for when the customer needs service. What Mark McCormack meant was to "always take your beating". Btw, Justin Kan said that too in a blog post about entrepreneurship. Justin sold Twitch to Amazon. Justin said to always listen to customers when they're beating you up.
- I like getting emailed invoices before my credit card gets charged.
Todays Pool does a great job itemizing work done. And the associated costs
- I like that Rodd and his team show up on time within a window of when they predict.
I am not one of those phat cats that takes a 2-hour lunch and shows up to work at 10. So, when I say, 12 effen 15... I mean I have 12:15 to 12:45 so that I can go pick up a salad-at-the-old-paradise-Bakery-that-is-now-barely-edible-due-to-the-corporate-takeover.
- Showing up on time and doing what you say you're going to do is HELPFUL. In my side-hustles' industry, there are SO many flakey people. Rodd and his team are not flaky. They are good
Pro tip: on 09-09-18 I will be in NYC (Don't rob my house; I did an #externalAPI to ADT and added a bunch of customized gambits where cutting the phone line wont disable the system ;-) Its the cofounder of Yelp's 40th birthday. I can't promise that he will be there... But, I will be and there will be a HUGE fashion show called "New York Fashion Week". I am thankful to Ford-Robert Black for giving me my start as a super, model.
