| - One of my favorite restaurants. Its an nice place to go to in general. It's like a fast food place with the premium environment of a restaurant, which is pretty cool. The noise level seemed to be low which is also a good perk. I go there occasionally, like after exams, usually with my schoolmates.
The food:
Simply amazing.
One of the best grilled chicken my taste-buds ever tasted. I usually order a half-chicken plate with fries and drink. Everything starting from the texture of the meat to the flavor is excellent. The food is prepared fresh so the meat is quite tender and juicy. One of the most noteworthy things about the restaurant is the delicious sauce. The fries are also very good and the spices that are sprinkled on to them make them even better. If you like fries, you'll love nando's fries. However before you go to nando's, make sure that you like spicy food, because that's what makes it so great !
When I order my meal, I usually go for hot in the peri-peri scale. The 'hot' option is spicy enough to for you to feel the heat but yet preserve the tasty. The extra hot is just too spicy and even a spice lover like me won't like it as much. It gets to the point where it's just too hot and ruins the taste somewhat. If you are a moderate spice lover, well, i recommend medium for you. You can still go if you can't stand spicy food and get the 'lemon and herb' option.
I found the service to be average. Nothing special about that...
The only downside to Nando's is that it is a little overpriced. If you want a good meal, you will probably end up using about $20 or more. But trust me, the price is worth it once in a while. Although the franchise is not as prominent in Canada as in other countries like the U.A.E, I would definitely recommend trying it out.
