  • One of my favorite hikes in AZ! We did the toms thumb trail (doesn't really look like a thumb). I'd rate it as a moderate hike in terms of difficulty. We took about 2.5 hours round trip but took many photo breaks. Love that everything is labeled so clearly--the trails, view points, and even the plants! The views were beautiful!! I'm definitely going back because there are multiple trails to try and even rock climbing. It's pretty easy to get there as the roads inside are really nicely paved so you don't have to worry about ruining your tires. Ample parking space too and bathrooms available at the start of the trail.
