| - This was THE WORST hotel stay ever! I arrived and got an upgraded room for the price of $20 each additional day. I unpacked and left. When I started using the room it was terrible! The bath tub had a horrible leak that could not be fixed without turning the water off to the whole tower! They sent a maintenance worker to the room who was able to stop the leak by tightening up the shower knob. As soon as I took a shower the leak resumed and it ran for four days and, apparently had been running before I got there. The shower head had tape hanging from it, the toilet paper was sitting on the back of the toilet, the towels had no place to be hung, the air could not be turned off so I had to keep adjusting it, one of the lights in the bathroom vanity was missing and was never replaced, the other vanity light had a short so I had to wiggle it to get it to work, the safe did not work and required a visit from security who opened it and then replaced the battery, there were exactly two electrical outlets that could be accessed and one extension cord that the bed lamp was plugged into. When I picked it up to plug in and charge my phone the light shorted out, there was no place for the room service server to put my breakfast because there is no place to put it, I cleared a place for her on the dresser and then moved it to the bed, but the handle on the tray was broken so I ultimately got pinched.
Yes, I tried to get another room, but there were three conventions in Las Vegas this weekend so I was stuck. We ate at the buffet and my niece found a bug in her food. The server took the plate and came back and said "the good news is it's not a roach, it's a fruit fly". Really? The food looked like it had been there awhile, the meat was over cooked and there really was no fresh fruit. I went to the Dryers Ice Cream shop to get their delicious Pineapple sundae. I've had it at other Dryers Shops many times. After waiting in line over 15 minutes, they only had one person working, I ordered my sundae only to be told they can't make it because they don't have the pineapple, they only have chocolate or butterscotch. But, their menu clearly states that they have pineapple, BUST!
I called three times to speak to the hotel manager and was hung up on twice by the front desk. The second time I was told that they were very busy at that moment and was hung up on. The third time I got a female supervisor who was rude and told me that she did not have a hotel manager on the premises. I gave her my name and room number, as she kept talking over me, and hung up. If you want to use a spa, they don't have one. They send their guests to a place called A Touch of Las Vegas Day Spa. I was going to spend over $300 to have a nice spa day. The concierge told me that they would be able to pick me up and then deliver me back. The woman I talked to said they could pick me up but I would have to take a taxi back. Apparently, this spa, who make a good amount of money off of the hotel, does not have a shuttle. They book a shuttle and need a 24 hour notice if you want a round trip.
I left early Saturday morning and when I returned, 2pm, my room had not been serviced, but the maids were down the hall. I left after an hour and came back a little after 6pm. My room still had not been serviced. I called Housekeeping and asked why my room had not been cleaned and if they had just mistakenly passed it by. I was told that they don't have a cleaning schedule and just fit the rooms in. WHAT?!
There were so many other things that I just really could keep writing, but I think you get the idea. The only reason I stayed here this visit was because my sister and her family was staying here for the Rugby finals. She has stayed here twice a year for years going back to when it was the Hilton. She was so unhappy that she stated that she won't stay here again. She called down to housekeeping for two days to get extra towels, no response to the request. And, the air in her room was not working. Repeated requests were not answered.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!
