From a Cyclists perspective - I park at Starbucks on St Rose Pkwy in 7 Hills and ride west towards M Hotel / Bowes Ave. From Starbucks to the end of the trail is about 3 miles. Depending on the wind I do the trip at least 2 times, 12 miles. It is a great consistent trail. The people on the trail are friendly and responsive. The bad thing about this trail is it is boring. The good thing about this trail is it is boring. Not a lot of vegetation or shade so the kids and dogs are scarce. I like that there are only a few intersections, I hate stopping. There are mile markers but I have done the odometer and it is 3 miles from the parking lot at Starbucks to the rest area just before Bowes Ave. I see some people do the return trip on St Rose Parkway, I don't have a reason to do that, not in a hurry. I find it more relaxing to ride on the trail.
At night it is well lit except for an area between Bermuda and Bruner, the lights are always out. Even with a head light there are some scary parts where I am trusting my memory to keep me on the path.
For some reason the laws of nature cease to exist on the trail as often I have head winds in both directions. Not sure if this is all the time or just for me, I have that kind of luck.
Construction has begun and I am sure the trail will change soon but until then i will continue to enjoy the peace.
