We were in Vegas a couple of days ago and had a great time. We stood at the MGM Grand & used taxis. Because of the hot weather, we only walked the Vegas strip once early noon from the MGM grand to Caesar's Palace.
It was super hot about 115° out and it was very windy. We made a lot of stops at the shops and the hotels along the way for snacks and refreshments.
Walking on the outside/sidewalks was overall pleasant & an experience for our kids because it was their first time in Las Vegas. There's so much to see, eat and drink to stay hydrated!
The only thing I didn't care for walking through the strip were the amount of homeless people & street performers begging for money.
Also, just like Hollywood California, there was plenty of people in character costumes asking if we wanted to take pictures with them for a $fee.
There is also a lot of people that work for agencies hitting you up asking where you're staying, etc.
I understand everyone is hustling & just trying to make a living. It's just not a very good feeling when you're on vacation with so much glitz and glam around you & hoity-toity shops like Fendi & Prada along the way. And then you see homeless people along the streets.
