  • I've made the mistake of taking my car here twice for cheap oil changes, both time I was hammered into the ground to buy everything from tire balancing to new tires to upgrading to synthetic oil, and on and on. It's a non stop barrage of harassment that I've never seen anywhere else. The first time I was told my shocks were leaking. I had just bought them 3 months earlier so I returned to the place I got them. Not only did they see NO oil but they asked me if the ride was rough. It wasn't. They said Midas is notorious for spraying oil and "fixing" the leak for you. My second visit sure enough they found a transmission "leak". They're always eager to point out the oil spot they found. Since I have a sealed case transmission there is no way to check the transmission level but the check engine light has never come on, and the transmission shifts perfectly. In the future I don't care if the oil change is FREE, nothing is worth the badgering and attempted pick pocketing of this place. I don't know if it's a company wide thing or just this one but do yourself a favor and save the headache-go elsewhere. It's worth paying a little more to avoid this level of BS.
